Job Description

  • Operations Leadership

As an Operational Excellence Leader, you will play a crucial role in planning, guiding, and empowering team members in the day-to-day operation of the department. Your ability to help achieve department goals and influence peers to create a winning strategy will be essential to our success.

Training and Development

You will support training new team members and cross-training high-potential talent, providing peer coaching on job responsibilities and standards to positively impact team member productivity.

Scheduling and Engagement

Working with leadership, you will assist in writing department schedules to focus on team member engagement, improving customer service, store sales, and profitability.

Product Management

You will ensure the freshness of products by monitoring the execution of rotation and dating policies and guide the team in compliance with food safety standards and regulations.

Inventory Management

Leading team members, you will ensure ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product display are completed where applicable.

Culture and Diversity

You will actively create an environment that supports the Meijer culture, valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Additional Responsibilities

You may be required to operate a register and cash handling when needed, operate powered equipment where applicable, participate in period-end inventories to help achieve goals, and demonstrate creative thinking skills.
