Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Lead Financial Consultant to become a vital member of our Accounting and Finance Team. This role will report directly to the Site Controller and is essential to the finance operations of our organization.

This position offers a pathway for growth, preparing the individual for an assistant controllership role within a five-year timeframe.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Site Controller to address various requests from local operations and corporate finance teams, including ad hoc analyses and special reporting.
  • Assist the financial accounting shared services team during the month-end closing process.
  • Prepare and update weekly cash forecasts, including receipts and disbursements.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging weekly and lead meetings with local customer service and financial shared services teams to coordinate collections.
  • Conduct daily and weekly reconciliations, such as sales and cash.
  • Review month-end balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the financial accounting shared services team.
  • Participate in organizing the annual physical inventory and other cycle count programs.
  • Assist in preparing for the annual standard cost update, including new product costings, ensuring accurate inventory valuation.
  • Support the management of the annual external audit, including preparation of audit materials and coordination with external auditors.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's financial and accounting policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; experience in operations is a plus.
  • 3-4 years of direct experience in accounting practices within a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace, with a strong understanding of cost accounting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP, FASB standards, and internal control processes.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic financial plans and analyzing key performance indicators.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities effectively, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools and experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP experience preferred).
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to provide sound financial advice in rapidly changing circumstances.
