Position Overview

Procon Consulting is in search of a qualified Electrical Engineer. The successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including the preparation of design documentation and scopes of work for architectural and engineering services, as well as construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide authoritative guidance on the management of technical aspects related to engineering for building structures.
  • Oversee the overall management of projects concerning technical quality, budget, and timelines.
  • Develop Task Order requirements and acquisition packages for governmental projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, facility managers, and governmental personnel to define project needs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assist in the execution of various projects, ensuring all necessary data entry and documentation is completed.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and field inspections to identify the scope of repairs and alterations needed for facilities.
  • Responsible for the engineering analysis, design development, and preparation of comprehensive plans and specifications for new projects and improvements.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineering Technician.
  • A BA or BS degree in a field related to construction, architecture, or engineering.
  • A solid background in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard project management software, including but not limited to Microsoft Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Experience with Department of Defense project programming and the development of programming documents.
Skills Required

The candidate should demonstrate:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of CPM scheduling.
  • Experience in managing project staff, including architects and engineers, and reviewing final contract documents.

This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while ensuring the successful completion of design projects.
