Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Administrator to join our team at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources & Labor Relations function, providing exceptional service to our employees, and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and corporate departments, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Collect and analyze data for the company's affirmative action plan, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process exit interviews, notify relevant personnel of terminations, and provide benefits information to departing employees.
  • Handle requests for employment verification, benefits, and other employment-related information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files, forms, and database information.
  • Perform recalls and layoffs of production employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Audit company-owned personnel files and employment law postings to ensure accuracy and adherence to established guidelines.
  • Coordinate employee relations issues with the HR Administration Manager to achieve prompt and effective resolution.
  • Maintain plan and office bulletin boards in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Perform related duties in support of the human resources function, as needed.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in HR or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry experience, although not necessary.
  • Experience with ADP/SAP, beneficial but not required.
  • Knowledge of HR policy and procedure, employment law, compensation practices, and labor union relations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be self-directed.
