Job Title: Registered Nurse Supervisor

At Jackson Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing department, ensuring the highest level of quality care is provided to our patients and residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing personnel, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular rounds to monitor patient care and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all nursing staff are properly trained and equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Monitor and report any incidents or accidents, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to prevent future occurrences.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent.
  • Current registration and licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year in a management position.
  • Geriatric and subacute care experience preferred.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:

This role operates in a healthcare setting, requiring regular walking and standing. The incumbent may be exposed to viruses, diseases, and infections from patients and specimens. The ability to work extended periods at a video display terminal and experience traumatic situations, including psychiatric and deceased patients, is also required.

Must be able to stay or return to the facility during emergency conditions. The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing, with frequent lifting or moving of objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds.
