Job Summary

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Technician II to join our Resource Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for traveling to various sites across North America to perform wind turbine maintenance and installation tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Travel 100% of the time to perform wind turbine maintenance and installation tasks
  • Act as a safety role model and encourage others to practice safe acts
  • Perform intermediate-level wind turbine maintenance and installation tasks, including operation and use of specialized tools
  • Document tasks and enter data into company systems
  • Diagnose and recommend solutions for turbine issues
  • Follow structured problem-solving processes to complete troubleshooting and diagnostic tasks
  • Effectively promote a healthy team environment and mentor lower-level technical staff
  • Interface with customers and respond to inquiries
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-high school education or minimum two years of wind industry experience
  • Proven use and understanding of intermediate-level power tools
  • Ability to demonstrate intermediate working knowledge of industrial safety practices
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport
  • Significant attention to detail and execution, good interpersonal and customer relation skills
  • Basic computer operation skills and ability to generate and interpret computer data
