Job Title: Advanced Sales Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Sales Director to join our team at Securian Financial Group. As a key member of our Individual Solutions market segment, you will be responsible for leading a team of advanced sales professionals and supporting our regional sales directors in the sale of individual life insurance and annuities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the company's advanced planning strategy
  • Represent Securian Financial at industry events and in publishing industry-relevant articles
  • Consult with internal teams, including risk, underwriting, legal, and actuarial professionals
  • Lead and develop a team of senior consultants with legal, regulatory, and tax expertise
  • Provide technical expertise and training on tax and legal issues affecting sales ideas and practices
  • Direct and participate in the development and presentation of advanced sales training for regional sales directors, channel partners, and financial professionals
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must hold either a J.D. or CPA designation
  • FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on advanced sales and planning
  • Deep knowledge of advanced sales concepts and planning strategies
  • Strong partnership mindset and ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external associates
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments
  • Ability to communicate complex strategies and financial concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Maintains presence and stays current in the greater estate, business, financial products, and financial planning community
