Location Description

Lenox, Iowa, is a charming small town with a strong sense of community. Our plant in Lenox produces pre-cooked egg patties, and we are proud to be a part of the local economy.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a maintenance shift that supports plant operations. Your key skills will include people management, operational knowledge, training ability, and developing expectations and follow-through. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all policies, procedures, and activities related to Food Safety & Quality are followed and complied with uniformly.

Some of your specific duties will include:

  1. Supervising a maintenance crew
  2. Ensuring parts requisitioning is done properly
  3. Creating work orders and PM's
  4. Assisting with the installation of new equipment
  5. Troubleshooting problems with equipment
  6. Ensuring a safe work environment for employees
  7. Recognizing and resolving operating problems to minimize their impact on operations
  8. Cooperating with all departments to ensure a coordinated work relationship
  9. Keeping accurate and up-to-date records
  10. Enforcing company policies in a fair and consistent manner
  11. Encouraging suggestions from employees to improve production, quality, safety, and control costs
  12. Scheduling crew overtime
  13. Involvement in organizational teams and committees
  14. Assuming personal responsibility for ensuring a safe and healthy workplace
  15. Adhering to all safety policies and procedures and incorporating safety and health in all jobs and tasks
  16. Ensuring regulatory compliance at all times
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with an Associate degree or two-year technical certificate in Mechanics and Electronics, or a related field, and two years of mechanical and electrical maintenance and supervisory experience. Preferred qualifications include communication and interpersonal relations skills, ability to learn computerized maintenance management systems, knowledge of basic mechanics, welding, electrical, fabrication, boilers, refrigeration, preventative maintenance, plant operations, PLC's, and government safety and environmental regulations.
