Responsibilities

As a Clinic Receptionist, you'll work under direct supervision to perform a variety of administrative support duties associated with the patient intake process. Your routine duties will include:

  • Performing patient check-in and completing all necessary paperwork to ensure an efficient admitting process and compliance with clinic and regulatory policies.
  • Answering phone calls and directing them appropriately.
  • Scheduling appointments according to office guidelines.
  • Obtaining accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts.
  • Copying/scanning patient access-related hardcopy materials into the electronic medical record.
  • Preparing charts for patient appointments, ensuring all necessary information is complete.
  • Conducting patient check-out, including pricing services, collecting patient responsibility payments, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
  • Performing record filing and retrieval, and assisting with the filing of registration documentation in electronic medical records.
  • Confirming next-day appointments and alerting patients to required documentation, including time-of-service payment details.
  • Following up with patients regarding the Missed Appointment Policy and sending out appropriate communications.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of insurance authorization and billing requirements.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • A strong work ethic and high level of professionalism.
  • The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Range

$20.33/hour
