Job Overview

PSC Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled Production Manager to lead our production team in Evansville. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for maximizing service to customers through improved production efficiencies, safety, and quality performance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive daily production and track operational and asset efficiency rates.
  • Train and orientate new employees, and cross-train for production contingency.
  • Implement, follow, and continuously improve corporate and facility QMS, reducing annual PPM rates.
  • Ensure inventory is maintained with a focus on 8 turns annually, and adhere to 5-S principles.
  • Coach and train facility personnel in all disciplines of the business, maintaining open and consistent communications with Corporate Human Resources, Accounting, Engineering, Sales, and Operations.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in managing a diverse workforce in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing a lean material flow throughout the facility and in coordination with sister facilities.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Automotive Market, Associates Degree or equivalent education.
  • Must have 5+ years of supervisory level experience within a manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in leadership utilizing Lean Application methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with external/internal customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel a plus.
  • Understanding of the OEM market drivers and pressures.
  • Some Extended Hours & Weekends as necessary.
  • Must submit to a drug screening and background check.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises all employees in the production & maintenance departments, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Work Environment: Noise is low to moderate.
