Position Overview:
We are currently seeking dedicated full-time and part-time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our team. As an EMT, you will play a crucial role in responding to both emergency and non-emergency situations, ensuring high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service in accordance with established protocols and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay well-informed about treatment protocols, response requirements, and quality assurance processes within the assigned system.
  • Keep abreast of any updates regarding system components and company policies.
  • Maintain the necessary level and type of certification to perform assigned tasks effectively.
  • Adhere to all state and company regulations regarding vehicle operation.
  • Safely operate a company vehicle in compliance with company policies and best practices.
  • Develop the ability to efficiently locate addresses using knowledge of local numbering systems and street layouts.
  • Ensure the readiness of the unit in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supplies, equipment, cleanliness, and overall appearance.
  • Promptly report any discrepancies in vehicle or equipment standards to the Lead Mechanic.
  • Complete all required documentation in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned quarters.
  • Immediately report any issues or unusual occurrences to the Lead Technician or Supervisor.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance by adhering to hygiene and uniform standards.
  • Maintain physical fitness to safely lift and move patients weighing up to 200 lbs. with assistance.
  • Participate in all mandatory training sessions.
  • Foster a collaborative working relationship with allied health and public safety personnel.

Accountability:
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments and treatments.
  • Document patient statistical and billing information accurately.
  • Adhere strictly to medical treatment protocols.

Qualifications:
  • Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician as required by the relevant County.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) certification.
  • Covid-19 vaccination or valid exemption.
  • Completion of FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 courses.
  • Knowledge of emergency vehicle operations.
  • Proficient radio communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of medical supplies and equipment in the vehicle.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in sensitive situations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions accurately.
  • Capacity to perform essential job functions consistently.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Valid driver's license from Washington State or Oregon.
  • Acceptable driving record.
