About the RoleWe're seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Sales Manager to join our team. As a Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for driving customer loyalty and growing share of the account by delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Learn the hotel brand and strategy to effectively communicate with customers
- Drive customer loyalty and grow share of the account through exceptional customer experiences
- Manage business travel accounts to maximize business potential
- Negotiate group business, guest room rates, meeting room rental, and hotel services within assigned markets
- Be aware of departmental revenue and upsell at every possible opportunity
- Ensure accurate and complete use of the sales system per SOP
- Identify and solicit new accounts through telemarketing, appointments, site tours, cold calls, and inquiries
- Develop, maintain, and prospect a Target List of accounts and communicate updates to DOS
- Assist with group rooming lists, daily inspections, and communication with front office and accounting
- Conduct pre- and post-conference meetings and attend property-specific receptions to generate leads
- Establish relationships with local businesses and organizations and participate in local industry associations
- Build relationships with competitors and stay up-to-date on market trends and industry changes
- Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years in hotel service role or sales experience preferred
- Outgoing personality and ability to work collaboratively with hotel service team
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to achieve sales goals and demonstrate a proactive sales approach
- Excellent time management skills and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
