About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Staff Engineer to join our team at SiriusXM Connect. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting our AWS Cloud network solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network architectures and strategies to meet business objectives
  • Provide senior-level technical leadership and contribute to the development of network solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to advance our network technology stack
  • Develop and manage solutions involving AWS CloudFormation Templates, Aviatrix Multi-Cloud Configuration, Automation Tools (Python, Terraform), Palo Alto, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
  • Offer expert guidance and collaborate with IT leaders and business stakeholders
  • Lead data center project design and ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements
  • Provide high-level support, including design, configuration, troubleshooting, and problem management
  • Engage with customers and internal partners throughout project lifecycles, offering platform configuration guidance and best practices
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Network IT Infrastructure, with a focus on implementing or managing AWS Cloud solutions and related on-premises or co-located solutions
  • AWS certification in Network Engineering, Advanced Networking, and/or Solutions Architect
  • Extensive experience with Aviatrix for managing multi-cloud networking solutions
  • Proficient in automation tools such as Python and Terraform for network configuration and management
  • Comprehensive understanding of the networking stack (routing, switching, and optical networking), Linux networking, open-source solutions, and best practices for network design in cloud environments
  • Experience with cloud networking services like VPCs, Direct Connect, VPN gateways, transit gateways, network firewalls, and web application firewalls across AWS and other major cloud platforms
  • Deep knowledge of network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and monitoring tools within cloud environments
