This critical role involves supervising a team of custodial staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, while also promoting a culture of professionalism and respect for all students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of custodial staff to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all college facilities.
  • Custodial Operations: Develop and implement effective custodial procedures to meet the needs of the college, including scheduling work activities and adjusting workloads as needed.
  • Training and Development: Train and evaluate custodial staff to ensure they meet established standards, and provide recommendations for retention and development.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect the work of custodial staff and direct corrective measures to ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and submit purchasing requests as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Approve electronic time cards, time off requests, and cover the duties of absent custodians as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in industry required.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Supervisory skills, management skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to train new employees are required.
  • Cultural Competence: The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
