Denny's Restaurant Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at HIA Restaurant Partners LLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of guest service, food preparation, and cleanliness in our restaurant.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting regular walk-throughs to ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety, and service standards.
- Monitoring equipment temperatures and recording them in a log as required by Denny's Brand Standards.
- Assigning duties to staff to correct any deficiencies recorded during walk-throughs or temperature checks.
- Supervising the operation of the restaurant during shifts and assisting staff as needed to maintain high levels of guest service, food preparation, and cleanliness.
- Contributing to the profitability of the restaurant through effective cost control methods such as monitoring prep/pull charts, reviewing food preparation, controlling waste, auditing guest checks, inspecting deliveries, and overseeing cash control policies.
- Assisting the General Manager in recruiting and staffing the restaurant.
- Covering call-offs and absences to ensure compliance with service, food, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Ensuring new employees are properly oriented and trained according to Denny's Brand Standards.
- Responding to guests' requests and complaints and resolving them in an appropriate manner.
- Performing daily cash reconciliation and taking deposits to the bank.
- Completing daily and weekly administrative tasks as assigned.
- Conducting inventories and ordering food, non-ingredient, and other items as assigned.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry as a restaurant manager.
- Strong knowledge of family restaurant management.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organization and leadership skills.
- Proven organizational skills, including the ability to take direction, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Dependability and reliability.
- Strong analytical, independent thinking, and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to understand and respond appropriately to requests and use independent judgment to take proper action.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience, plus quarterly bonuses, a 401k plan with a company match, comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, voluntary insurance benefits, paid vacation, and more.
