Dialysis Technician

We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Technician to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a Dialysis Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dialysis center.
Key Responsibilities- Provide dialysis care to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Set up and operate dialysis machines, initiate and monitor dialysis therapy, and terminate treatment as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Recognize and respond to patient problems, taking immediate action and notifying responsible parties as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff, adhering to all established policies and procedures.
- Document patient care and treatment in the electronic health record.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and programs to enhance patient care and center operations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Certified Chronic Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) certification (required within 18 months of hire for uncertified candidates).
- Ability to evaluate and interpret color-coded test results on test strips.
- Manual dexterity and ability to manipulate complex equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients, as well as bend and lift supplies and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dialysis experience.
- Experience working in a regulated healthcare environment.
- Phlebotomy experience.
