Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our well-established and cohesive surgical team at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.
About the RoleThis is a full-time opportunity to provide high-quality patient care and exceptional surgical services in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Cardiothoracic Surgery APP, you will work closely with our experienced surgeons to deliver comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery.
Responsibilities- Provide first assist in cardiothoracic surgery procedures, including endoscopic vein harvest and robotic thoracic surgery
- Manage ICU/PCU/medical-surgical rounds and provide patient care
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care
- Current WA state license as a PA/NP (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year cardiothoracic surgery experience as a PA/NP
- Endoscopic vein harvest experience required; open radial harvest experience desired but willing to train
- Robotic thoracic/cardiac surgery experience desired but willing to train
- ICU patient management experience, including ventilator and drip management
- CPR/BLS + ACLS certification (or ability to obtain)
