Role Summary:
As a Mathematics Educator at EQA, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of students who require additional support. Your responsibilities will include creating an engaging curriculum and fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing Tier 1 curriculum and assessments tailored to student needs.
- Planning and delivering stimulating, rigorous, and differentiated lessons.
- Building meaningful relationships that promote student development.
- Monitoring and evaluating student progress on both individual and group levels.
- Engaging in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices.
As a Mathematics Educator, you may teach a combination of the following subjects:
- Algebra I
- Geometry
- Algebra II
- Financial Literacy
- Math Essentials
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching students at risk, with a proven track record of improving student outcomes.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required; Louisiana Teacher Certification is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in mathematics.
- Strong interest and skills in supporting students with learning and emotional challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to fostering educational equity and being part of a mission-driven team.
