The Student-Athlete Success Coach is responsible for providing essential support and mentorship to student-athletes, ensuring their academic and personal development. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive environment that promotes success both in sports and academics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer guidance and support to student-athletes in navigating their academic responsibilities.
- Assist in the development of strategies to enhance academic performance and personal growth.
- Collaborate with academic departments to facilitate resources for student-athletes.
- Provide mentorship and encouragement to foster a culture of success.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Prior experience in providing mentorship or guidance to students.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field.
Experience: Background in academic affairs or student services within a higher education setting. Experience as a student-athlete, coach, or educator at a collegiate level or K-12 institution. Familiarity with university learning support or academic advising services.
