Lead Behavioral Health Specialist

Job Summary:
The Lead Behavioral Health Specialist is a key member of the KidsPeace Mesabi Academies team, responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality group and one-to-one services to children on the autism spectrum. This role requires a strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide group and/or one-to-one support and intervention, utilizing behavior modification techniques and proactive strategies to promote social skill development and client stability.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Supervisor, Supervisor, BCBA, Behavior Consultant, and Program Manager to ensure the service plan meets the client's needs and recommends additional services as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed daily logs of behavior progress and communicate with team members, supervisors, parents, and other staff as required.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed professionally and submitted in a timely manner, adhering to established protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Meet one of the following qualifications: Certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), Certification as a Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT), or completion of 40 hours of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training and a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with special needs populations and/or experience in a setting utilizing ABA principles.
- Valid driver's license and First Aid/CPR certifications required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience facilitating therapeutic and/or recreational groups preferred.
