Parrish Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per yearJob Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Pharmacist to perform all dispensing functions required after physician order evaluation and computer entry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medication therapy and be able to monitor patient medication regimens effectively.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating physician orders for appropriateness and safety for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
  • Performing accurate and timely computer order entry.
  • Dispensing new and daily medications, checking Pyxis, Pyxis Cubies, refill lists, doing share of CII Safe transactions (ex. sends, receives, returns, wastes and expires) overseeing and verifying technicians.
  • Performing accurate and timely IV and chemotherapy admixture.
  • Performing all clinical functions and therapeutic monitoring of medications for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
  • Consulting with medical staff, nursing staff, and professional staff regarding medication therapy and general or specific medication information.
  • Monitoring narcotic inventory in Pharmacy and on nursing units.
  • Performing quarterly assignments and nursing liaison activities.
