Pharmacy Technician Regulatory Job Description

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician Regulatory to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician Regulatory, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our ambulatory patient care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist department leadership in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to medication use.
  • Act as a liaison between ambulatory care areas, the department of pharmaceutical services, and applicable State and Federal regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the completion of monthly inspections conducted by the site manager.
  • Develop and modify policies and procedures for approval by department leadership.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) verified through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
  • Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
  • Three years of pharmacy technician experience in an inpatient hospital environment or similar environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program.

Physical Requirements:

Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, and sitting for prolonged periods; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

While walking, stooping, bending, and reaching; ability to transport 240 lb. cart.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
