Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Design and implement daily activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
    • Encourage active participation from all residents and ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Documentation and Data Collection
    • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and interest in activities.
    • Review and analyze data to determine the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Resident Support and Care
    • Provide one-on-one visits with residents who refuse scheduled groups or have limited family involvement.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
  • Safety and Health
    • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and protect resident personal health information.
    • Report any resident injuries or incidents immediately to the Therapeutic Recreation Director or Administrator.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Desire to work with seniors and individuals with illnesses and disabilities.
    • Strong ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations.
    • Resilience and ability to welcome constructive feedback and course correct.
    • High emotional intelligence and ability to actively listen and communicate effectively.
