Agricultural Operations Intern

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Agricultural Operations Intern to support our agricultural initiatives. This position primarily involves assisting with various field operations related to crop management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subcontractors for effective crop planting and field management.
- Facilitate the transportation of seed materials to and from designated storage facilities.
- Complete necessary health and safety training as required by the company.
- Assist in the movement and disposal of agricultural materials as needed.
- Provide guidance to growers on planting techniques, including seed depth and population.
- Utilize GPS technology to mark field entrances and coordinate field activities.
- Conduct field scouting to identify and address weed and pest issues in accordance with integrated pest management protocols.
- Perform stand counts and maturity assessments on crops to ensure optimal growth conditions.
- Instruct harvest teams on specific field conditions and requirements.
- Manage equipment and personnel logistics, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
- Participate in inventory management for crops and materials.
- Ensure that all company vehicles are maintained and report any issues to the supervisor.
