Job Title: Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Hire Military Talent. As an Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and constructing electrical systems in all NISD facilities without direct supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an appropriate truck and inventory to perform daily tasks without delay.
  • Assist in the training of less qualified technicians.
  • Follow established guidelines in locating and purchasing materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate work with other departments, shops, and/or outside contractors/vendors.
  • Ensure that assigned test equipment, tools, and vehicles are maintained properly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Accredited General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Valid Texas Drivers' License with a driving record insurable by the NISD carrier.
  • Current Journeyman Electrician license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
  • Minimum of four years in the electrical trade working under the direct supervision of a Master electrician.
  • Majority of experience in commercial and light industrial electrical systems maintenance and installation.
  • Experience in computer and data systems installation (preferred).
  • Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check prior to starting employment.
Working Conditions:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job. Lifts 10-40 pounds frequently, 40-75 pounds occasionally, more than 75 pounds infrequently. Climbs ladders, works in high places, works in cramped quarters and under buildings, distinguishes primary colors, works in inclement weather (hot, cold, dry, and damp). Walks, stands, kneels, stoops, bends, and squats for prolonged times. Must be able to work with potentially hazardous materials in a safe manner and safely perform required duties in potentially hazardous environments. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and respond to after-hours emergencies.

Terms of Employment:

Reports to: Operations Manager – Electrical. Type of Assignment: Full-Time, Non-Exempt. Minimum Hourly Rate: $24.63. Pay Grade: XB10. Maximum Hourly Rate: $33.39. Minimum Work Days: 260 (Days include vacation and holiday pay).
