The Role:

As a SONIC Drive-In Assistant General Manager, you will oversee and manage the daily operations of the Drive-In in conjunction with the General Manager to provide quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient manner. This role is accountable for the Drive-In and its operations, ensuring a SuperSONIC experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager with hiring, training, managing, supervising, directing, and developing Great People to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrate a Fair, Firm, Fun leadership approach, leading by example and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Manage a profit and loss statement to exceed expectations every week, month, and year, driving business growth and success.
  • Swiftly resolve employee concerns with empathy and a thoughtful approach, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Celebrate team successes and coach for better performance, recognizing individual contributions and areas for improvement.
  • Set clear expectations and provide continuous feedback, ensuring employees understand their role in achieving business objectives.
  • Create an upbeat, positive atmosphere during shifts, making work enjoyable and engaging for employees.
  • Help employees understand the big picture and their role by sharing the 'why' behind tasks, promoting a sense of purpose and ownership.

Requirements:

  • Prior management experience, preferably in the restaurant or retail industry (subject to franchise discretion).
  • High standards for self and the team, with a positive attitude and resilience in the face of challenges.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks accordingly.
  • Associate's degree in Business or a related field preferred (subject to franchise discretion).
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
