The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team as a Lab Services Specialist. In this role, you'll play a critical part in delivering exceptional patient experiences by providing venipuncture services and other clinical support. You'll work closely with our diverse team of providers and administrative assistants to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide best-in-class venipuncture services for patients of all ages
  • Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Continuously care for patients beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties
  • Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System 1Life, to interact with team members and complete daily work
Requirements
  • Active Medical Assistant certification from NHA, AAMA, NCCT, or the AMT
  • Graduated from an accredited postsecondary Medical Assistant program or completion of relevant Medical Assistant training by any branch of the armed forces
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
  • A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
  • A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks

Compensation

The total compensation package for this position may include benefits and a competitive hourly rate of $25.75 to $27.75 per hour, based on a standard full-time schedule.
