Personal Financial Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Financial Counselor to join our team at Magellan Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert financial guidance and counseling services to military service members and their families at assigned installations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
- Assist service members in creating a spending plan for extended absences.
- Develop and disseminate informational financial materials to service members and families.
- Coordinate and deliver a wide range of Personal Financial Management classes and workshops, covering topics such as financial planning, budgeting, and debt management.
- Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
- Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication tools to provide support to service members and their families.
- Manage duty to warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol.
- Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision and training.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- May consider applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years' experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
- May be required to work outside of traditional office hours.
- Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
- Must have over a thousand hours of financial counseling experience.
