About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Good Samaritan Society in Ellsworth, Kansas. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
  • Assist residents with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and other daily living activities.
  • Obtain and record vital signs, and provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
  • Assist residents with meals and snacks, and provide water and supplements as appropriate.
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
  • Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
