Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You will be responsible for providing a positive and supportive environment for our residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents
  • Assist residents with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and other personal care needs
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational
  • Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
  • Minimum age of 16
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
