As a Field Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the entire construction process, ensuring that all quality standards are met while managing multiple projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise construction projects from start to finish.
  • Exhibit expert knowledge of construction materials, techniques, relevant regulations, and quality benchmarks.
  • Accurately assess construction costs for modifications and negotiate fair contract adjustments.
  • Facilitate meetings to address issues on construction sites and provide updates to clients and management.
  • Maintain official records related to construction activities and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes and effective scheduling practices.
  • Conduct material take-offs for construction tasks, evaluate the cost of required work, and negotiate contract modifications.
  • Handle crises and conflicts with professionalism.
  • Implement safety protocols within the construction environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required for this role.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the construction sector, particularly with large-scale government and healthcare facility projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction management.
  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of the construction process, including the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects at once.
  • Experience in drafting correspondence and maintaining official construction site documentation.
  • Skilled in conducting meetings to resolve construction-related issues and updating clients and management.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management methodologies and practices.
  • In-depth familiarity with building code regulations and scheduling techniques.
  • Expertise in calculating costs associated with construction changes.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations in the construction industry, including familiarity with OSHA standards. Knowledge of TJC is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must legally reside in the United States and be eligible for employment.
