Job Title: Personnel Supervisor II

This is a permanent, full-time position at Valley State Prison in California. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising personnel and ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage personnel to ensure effective performance and compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve facility goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Current state employee with lateral transfer eligibility or reinstatement eligibility.
  • Eligibility for a Training and Development assignment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, other departments, and external partners.
