Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Ultrasound Technologist II to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ultrasound imaging, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Position patients and select technical factors and equipment to obtain high-quality ultrasound images.
  • Assist physicians with recommendations for optimal study selection and technical factors.
  • Perform basic ultrasound exams independently and work collaboratively with radiologists to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Act as lead technologist in the absence of senior staff.
  • Obtain patient history to provide radiologists with relevant information for film interpretation.
  • Work closely with radiologists to ensure optimal outcomes for each procedure.
  • Maintain positive guest relations and ensure patient safety at all times.
  • Comply with established safety standards and maintain annual CPR certification.
  • Operate equipment safely and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Stay up-to-date with current ultrasound skills and new developments in the field.
Requirements:
  • ARDMS Registered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures, including vascular studies.
  • High degree of technical knowledge and ability to make diagnostic judgments.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and be able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.

This is a per diem/prn position, and the successful candidate will be required to work on an as-needed basis.
