About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at AHEAD USA. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for taking designs from concept to mass production, collaborating with customers, internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom compute-based products, including server faceplates, rack mount computer chassis, small form factor computer enclosures, and brackets.
  • Conceptualize component designs, manage design reviews, and conduct design verification and validation.
  • Build prototypes, analyze failures, and implement solutions.
  • Manage design library, research new technologies, and maintain document control.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing vendors and team members to deliver quality products.
  • Manage projects to timelines, ensure delivery within design date promises, and quote design services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or equivalent related work experience.
  • Experience in sheet metal design, plastic design, and CAD-based software such as SolidWorks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify root cause issues.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and industrial best practices, and experience in computer and IT industry.
  • Proven ability to work within design revision control environment, identify potential design issues, and self-motivated to learn new technologies.
