We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing technical solutions for harness and interconnect systems for multiple missile programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement design solutions for harness and interconnect systems, ensuring compliance with industry specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and derive system requirements, define mechanical outline and construction details, and oversee electrical layout.
- Perform first-order electrical analysis and ownership of final technical data package.
- Meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for finished product.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including mechanical and assembly drawings, and electrical layouts.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- A minimum of six (5) years of experience in the design and/or manufacturing of wire harnesses for military, aerospace, or commercial applications.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Strong technical background with high technical aptitude.
- Experience with industry specifications: IPC/WHMA-A-620, SAE AS22759, J-STD-001 Mil-PRF-31032, IPC-6013, IPC-2221, or IPC-2223.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Very strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills when working with team members and customers.
