Job Summary:

The Event Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all events. Special security assignments may be available during non-event days/nights.

  • Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)
  • Perform all event and non-event security duties as assigned
  • Conduct building safety inspections (pre-event and post-event safety checks)
  • Follow all established security procedures
  • Answer information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed
  • Protect equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule
  • Provide regular security functions within the Complex and related areas, prior to, during and after all events
  • Responsible for clean, neat appearance with complete uniform
  • Turn in all lost and found items to the Event Manager on duty, when applicable
  • Provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the complex, when requested
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Management
Requirements:
  • Must be an active-duty Cumberland County Deputy
  • Able to work events as assigned
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language required
  • Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends and select holidays, is required
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
