Job Overview

Walsingham Group Inc is seeking a highly skilled Security Support Specialist to join our team in the Fort Liberty Area. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for assisting, monitoring, and advising on all aspects of security to include Physical, Personnel, Information, Industrial, and Special Access Programs (SAP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of security activities at the DoD Top-Secret and higher classification level to ensure USSOCOM personnel and supported tenant organizations are prepared to operate in traditional and non-traditional environments.
  • Enforce written technical approaches and methodologies with regard to security proposals.
  • Process personnel background investigations for DoD Top-Secret security clearance actions.
  • Conduct and coordinate training for special security representatives.
  • Perform as a liaison with government and industrial security officials, overseeing collateral and higher access and badge procedures.

Requirements:

  • Maintain a Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Access.
  • Minimum of six years Physical, Personnel, and Special Security experience within DoD or equivalent government agencies required, with operational level experience preferred.
  • Solid and varied experience in planning/accrediting facilities per the ICD 7051 standard.
  • Thorough familiarity with all DoD security processes within a wide array of all security disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of DoD security policies and procedures to include National Industrial Security Program Supplement, and DoD Volumes 1-3.
