Event Services Assistant

Job Summary:
The FSU Ticket Office is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Event Services Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and supervision of various ticketed and non-ticketed events on campus. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for efficiently managing entry into university events, ensuring a smooth and orderly process for attendees, and maintaining the safety and security of attendees at campus events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage entry into university events, including checking tickets and assisting attendees.
- Ensure the safety and security of attendees at campus events by operating metal detection equipment and screening individuals for prohibited items.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with attendees, staff, and faculty.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support campus events.
- Collaborate with the FSU Ticket Office team to ensure the success of events.
Requirements:
- Be enrolled full- or part-time in a degree-seeking graduate or undergraduate program with Fayetteville State University.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in customer service or a related field.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately verify tickets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an event setting.
