Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Wholesale Sales Associate to join our team. As a Wholesale Sales Associate, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business for the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business for the organization
  • Conduct follow-up calls and in-person visits to existing and prospective customers
  • Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints
  • Coordinate sales effort with sales management, marketing, accounting, logistics, and R&D
  • Analyze potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers' value to the organization
  • Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the return on time investment
  • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Stay up-to-date knowledge of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions
  • Develop strategy and set policy and procedures to support successful product launches
  • Oversee all sales projects from concept to delivery
  • Participate in cross-functional teams within manufacturing and retail to develop strategies supporting market growth
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the manufacturing staff and leadership team from the sales perspective
  • Report daily, weekly, and monthly data information as needed to maintain sales activities
  • Responsible to promote and pursue continuous improvements
  • Develop and maintain current broker network
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 2 years related sales experience
  • Experience in direct and broker sales
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry required
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
  • Must be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time as needed
  • Must possess the ability to set and achieve sales goals
  • Must have a valid state driver's license
  • Total impact to sales volume and sales profitability
  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000.00 to $87,000.00 annually, with starting salary varying based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation Pay, paid holidays, bereavement pay, and retirement benefits.
