About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, responding to routine requests for information and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Register patients, obtain demographic and insurance information, and verify insurance coverage to ensure accurate billing and payment processing.
  • Schedule patient appointments, coordinate cancellations and reschedules, and provide detailed information regarding test preparations and arrival times.
  • Update patient information, including insurance and financial responsibility, and communicate changes to patients as necessary.
  • Monitor patient flow to ensure efficient and courteous care, offering assistance with transportation, directions, and other needs as required.
  • Perform visit closure, including checking out patients, scheduling follow-up appointments, and providing visit summaries.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • No prior experience necessary, but excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and electronic mail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
