Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Inpatient Overflow Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting patient assessments, formulating care plans, and implementing and evaluating nursing interventions. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care.
- Develop and adjust care plans based on patient responses to treatment.
- Engage with a multidisciplinary team to assess and revise care strategies.
- Administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Delegate tasks to non-licensed personnel while adhering to professional standards.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients.
- Educate patients and their families regarding care and treatment options.
- Facilitate discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution.
- Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Nursing License, with Texas licensure obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per healthcare policy.
- NIHSS certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
