Job Title: Telecommunications Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join our team at The Judge Group. As a Telecommunications Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement telecommunications systems, including network infrastructure and communication protocols.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, implementation plans, and testing procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of telecommunications systems with other business systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on telecommunications systems and protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications systems, including network infrastructure, communication protocols, and data transmission.
  • Proficiency in technical documentation, including system designs, implementation plans, and testing procedures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply working knowledge of telecommunications systems on new projects.
  • Contract knowledge preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge and advanced proficiency in CWDM/DWDM Optical Transport systems, including Ciena and Alcatel-Lucent.
  • Familiarity with Dark Fiber vendors, their organizational processes and standards, as well as their network portfolio maps.
  • Knowledge of Pathloss 5 microwave design software.
  • Executive level troubleshooting, problem solving, project management, and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:

This position will be a standard, 8 hour, 8-5 type role, Monday through Friday.
