Position Summary:
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating all training aspects for newly onboarded team members. This role involves mentoring and guiding new hires to ensure they develop the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in their positions. The Training Coordinator will conduct On-The-Job Training (OJT) to instruct new employees on safe and efficient production practices. Additionally, this role will monitor safety training and engage in the overall training process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with departmental supervisors and training specialists to place new hires effectively.
- Support new team members in Injury Prevention initiatives, including orientation schedules and safety exercises.
- Educate new hires on job-specific techniques and safety protocols, utilizing OJT documents and Job Safety Analysis.
- Ensure new employees are proficient in using work tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Assist management in evaluating the performance of new team members and provide refresher training as needed.
- Document and report on the progress of new hires, addressing any performance concerns with relevant stakeholders.
- Administer weekly check-ins and assist with monthly training topics as directed.
- Follow established training methods and provide translation support when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Training Specialist or Human Resources.
Qualifications:
- Ability to learn and perform all roles within the department.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently.
- Exemplary attendance and work behavior to serve as a role model.
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of safety and food safety protocols.
- Proficient in company policies and procedures.
- Bilingual skills in English-Spanish or English-Creole are preferred.
Education & Experience:
- Prior experience in conducting on-the-job training is preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and data entry is advantageous.
