Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Hubbell Incorporated. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and/or disassembling parts into subassemblies or finished units, and receiving and stocking parts and supplies.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and/or disassemble parts into subassemblies or finished units
- Receive and stock parts and supplies
- Use hand tools, jigs, fixtures, machines, equipment, and other means to produce a good quality product
- Perform processes such as assembling, drilling, pressing, testing, fitting, filing, and storing
- Make visual and manual inspections, check quality, assure alignment, position, tension, record production, record scrap, and keep required production records
- Set-up, operate, and adjust machines and equipment as required
- Interpret drawings and routing sheets and perform SPC as required
- Furnish own hand tools
- Maintain machines, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly manner
- Ensure that any hazardous waste generated is properly packaged and labeled before removing from the area
- Ability to sit and/or stand and perform repetitive work for a minimum of eight hours
- Ability to walk, hear, see, and have full use of both hands
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor
- Ability to climb steps
- Ability to lift in excess of 65 lbs.
