POSITION SUMMARY: This role is integral to the Ability One program, which focuses on empowering individuals with disabilities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all custodial tasks to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of custodial staff.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and reorder as necessary.
  • Complete daily administrative tasks, including timecards and incident reports.
  • Report equipment repair needs to the Manager.
  • Notify the Manager of any building maintenance concerns.
  • Address customer feedback as required.
  • Perform custodial duties as necessary.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.

SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

  • Promote safe practices among clients and staff.
  • Participate in required safety training sessions.
  • In the event of an accident or illness, collaborate with the supervisor to conduct an investigation and report findings to Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including balancing, bending, standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, stretching, climbing, and sitting.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to push and pull weights up to 10 pounds.
  • Driving may be required for certain locations.
  • Independent travel to various sites is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with staff and the public.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and learn to operate necessary equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Successful completion of drug and background screenings.
  • Previous experience in the custodial field is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 2 PM to 10 PM, with weekend availability as needed.
