Primary Duties:- Drive a collection vehicle for residential waste and recycling services
- Efficiently load waste materials into the truck and compact them as necessary
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip safety checks on the vehicle
- Report any mechanical issues to the supervisor promptly
- Adhere to safe driving practices at all times
- Supervise and coordinate with assigned helpers
- Comply with all safety regulations and standards
- Keep accurate logs of services rendered
- Participate in safety meetings and branch discussions
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background
- Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- At least one year of experience in commercial driving
- Proven ability to operate the required equipment safely
- Knowledge of vehicle components and maintenance practices
- Strong communication abilities
- Capability to read and follow operational instructions
- Adaptability to changing work conditions
- Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in noisy environments
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks throughout the day
- Visual acuity necessary for vehicle operation
- Capacity to lift and maneuver objects of different weights
