Job Summary
The Employer Engagement Supervisor will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with employers to create and sustain job opportunities for our program participants. This role requires a dynamic and strategic thinker who can connect with a variety of stakeholders and advocate for the employment of opportunity youth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the process of obtaining Memoranda of Understanding/Agreements with employers.
- Develop and implement an employer engagement strategy that aligns with the company's mission and goals.
- Collaborate with program staff to understand the needs and skills of participants and match them with suitable employment opportunities.
- Facilitate screening of candidates prior to placement, including interviews, background checks, drug screening, and testing.
- Act as liaison between One-Stop Career Center staff, employers, business relations staff, and program customers.
- Maintain documentation of Subsidized Employment Agreements.
- Establish and maintain relationships with employers across various industries to create job and internship opportunities for program participants.
- Conduct audits of Subsidized programs to ensure quality of service delivery and accurate documentation of eligibility for both employers and program customers.
- Communicate time sheet, payroll, and program customer performance issues to employers and One-Stop Career Center when necessary.
- Track and report on employer engagement activities, including metrics on job placements, employer satisfaction, and participant outcomes.
- Provide information regarding available services to the business community.
- Ensure data entry and data integrity of all employer services in appropriate databases.
- Lead and manage a team of employer engagement specialists, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Social Work, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Subsidized employment.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in workforce development, employer engagement, or recruitment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Should have a considerable skill in interviewing techniques and good knowledge of all functions of industry clusters.
- Familiarity with communities being served with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources.
- Demonstrated knowledge of labor market trends.
- Demonstrated computer skills, with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
- Demonstrated performance in placing program participants into employment.
- Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in communicating with area employers.
- A valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance that meets the State of TX requirements.
- Knows the Dallas Area or can get to destinations using maps/GPS.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with employers.
