Job Summary

The Lead Echo Vascular Technologist plays a crucial role in the Cardiology department at St. David's Medical Center, leading activities and ensuring exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong background in echocardiography and vascular procedures, with a focus on providing high-quality diagnostic services.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the vascular lab, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Perform non-invasive cardiovascular procedures, including adult and pediatric echocardiography and vascular studies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic studies.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff members, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Participate in budget control and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound or equivalent experience.
  • 3-7 years of experience in Echo Ultrasound, with a focus on pediatric and adult echocardiography and vascular studies.
  • Current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
