About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist PRN to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a member of our cardiovascular care team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

  • Identify upper/lower extremity venous anatomy and perform Venous Duplex protocol for DVT
  • Identify extra cranial and intracranial anatomy and perform Carotid Duplex exam protocol
  • Operate complex measurement and Doppler programs to produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality
  • Assist physicians performing invasive exams and complete required documentation on forms, logs, and in computer
  • Take call on a rotating basis and adhere to HCA/St. David's HealthCare's Patient's First Initiatives

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound and Certificate of successful completion from an accredited school of vascular ultrasound
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
