Pharmaceutical Production Technician

As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our sample handling and storage processes. Your primary duties will include receiving and opening specimens delivered to the laboratory, sorting and transferring them to designated areas, and assisting with freezer cleanout and destruction of specimens. You will also be responsible for reviewing and documenting acceptability of specimen and chain of custody forms, as well as adhering to all security procedures for ensuring confidentiality of donor information. Additionally, you will maintain the cleanliness of the Warehouse Accessioning area and assist with courier deliveries.
Basic Qualifications / Education:
A high school education or equivalent is preferred.
Competencies:
You will need to have a basic understanding of laboratory techniques and procedures, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with other employees and supervisors. You will also need to be able to read and comprehend standard operating procedures, federal guidelines, and CAP-FUDT regulations.
Physical Requirements:
Due to the nature of the job, you will need to be able to lift 50 pounds with assistance and have full body movement. You will also need to have vision and hearing corrected to meet minimum acceptable norms.
Reasoning Requirements:
You will need to be able to cope with stress due to production obligations and communicate effectively with other employees and supervisors. You will also need to be able to provide input and recommendations on operations.
Work Environments:
You will be working in a climate-controlled office and testing laboratory environment, with potential exposure to toxic or hazardous materials. You will also need to be able to work in a refrigerated and 20-degree freezer area for storing and removing samples.
